Donald Trump’s Truth Social network loses £258m

Donald Trump’s social network lost $327.6m (£257.7m) in the first three months of the year, according to the first results released since its blockbuster $8bn float in March. Trump Media and Technology (TMTG), the parent company of Mr Trump’s Twitter rival Truth Social, suffered the loss on revenues of just $770,500, a drop from $1.1m a year earlier. It attributed the fall to “a change in the revenue share with one of our advertising partners”. New network code on cybersecurity for EU electricity sector

The European Commission has today adopted the first-ever EU network code on cybersecurity for the electricity sector (C/2024/1383). Foreseen under the Electricity Regulation (EU) 2019/943 (Article 59) and in the 2022 EU Action Plan to digitalise the energy system, this delegated act is an important step to improve the cyber resilience of critical EU energy infrastructure and services. It will support a high, common level of cybersecurity for cross-border electricity flows in Europe. China builds radar network to support global space weather forecast

BEIJING — China has built a mid-latitude high-frequency radar network in the country’s northern regions to provide high-quality detection data for global space weather forecast and warning. The first batch of scientific detection results of the network was released at an international workshop of the Super Dual Auroral Radar Network (SuperDARN), which opened in Beijing on Monday. The network, constructed by the National Space Science Center (NSSC) under the Chinese Academy of Sciences, was completed in October 2023. Launching with three rapid charger locations in the Auckland and Waikato regions, Plug and Save says there’s no need for an account, app or charging fob with its network.
